INTORCHIATE

A crunchy, almond-studded twist with orange blossom and vanilla

Intorchiate hail from Puglia and means “intertwined” in the local dialect. Often made for marriage celebrations, these are a small commemoration of Brandon and I finally tying the knot this year. Olive oil and white wine, plus my addition of an Italian orange blossom and vanilla extract, give these treats a distinctive fruity and floral note. Their crunchiness makes them a perfect breakfast or afternoon treat with your beverage of choice.


PISTACHIO & RASPBERRY THUMBPRINT

Cardamom-spiced cookies bejeweled with raspberry jam and pistachios

Equal parts fragrant, nutty, and bright, this elevated take on the jammy thumbprint boasts cardamom, toasted pistachios, and a homemade raspberry jam with a wisp of rose. Together, they create a cookie that’s surprising and elegant.


ROOIBOS BLONDIE

A decadent bar infused with the honeyed essence of rooibos.

Rooibos, an herbal “tea” native to South Africa, brings an elegant and comforting depth to this blondie. Woody and slightly floral with warm honey and vanilla notes are heightened by brown sugar and melted white chocolate blended into the bar’s crumb.

SAVORY TOMATO & PARMESAN LINZER

Savory-sweet tomato jam offers a riff on the classic holiday linzer

The cookie box’s first savory cookie! Inspired by a surprisingly popular tomato jam tart I baked for a friend’s birthday party this summer, a homemade sweet and tangy tomato and onion jam is sandwiched between two layers of parmesan and pecorino shortbread studded with black pepper.

STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING COOKIE

The decadent and comforting dessert classic in cookie form

These date, brown butter, and caramel-strewn beige beauties are a nod to my family’s more recent Christmas tradition of making this British classic. Heating them up will really bring out the caramelized white chocolate topping and gooey center!
